On day six of our upcoming visit to Japan, Yumiko and I will visit an available fishing village house on the Izu Peninsula which I've marked here with a yellow pin. Though the area appears remote, it's actually only a short drive to the car ferry landing which would take us across the bay to where Yumiko's family lives. And it's not very far from a pretty big town for modern amenities. I'm really looking forward to seeing this house, which has a nice view of the sea and easy access to a little beach which is popular with summertime tourists and might be well suited to my routine daily plunge.
