The Good Life - 10/25/2022 - Does death breathe? *

Updated: Nov 23, 2022

I always worry ahead of someplace new. Every time Yumiko and I change homes I imagine a handful of bad things that might happen in the new place, and how much better off we’d be if we stayed put. Those bad things I imagine do often occur. Things do go bad. And I can remember and catalog in my mind many of the bad things which have resulted of our past moves. It’s a curious thing though, that the memory of those bad things that did happen do not feel very painful when they become far in the rear-view mirror. Just like the difficulty of climbing mountains is forgot in favor of our recollection of the view from the summit.

The Good Life Meditation is my daily recitation and reminder of personal objectives and principles used in pursuit of a purposeful life in spite of a universe of seeming indifference.
