The Good Life - 09/06/2023 - Clay at our own wheel
Updated: 6 days ago
Yumiko and I both have begun to mold ourselves into the people we wish to become. It’s a very alien and strange process and feeling; something we could never do before when our lives were all about parenthood and work. Freedom yields flight of a sort, and though we are still not quite fully free, we’re both stretching our wings and eyeing both our shared and respective horizons. I won’t postpone my living until that day arrives, which is an easy trap to fall into, robbing us of our genuine living right before our eyes—daylight robbery, in fact. But I will prepare. And it’s great fun to prepare; molding my own clay into whatever new vessel I will soon become. And Yumiko is spinning her clay, too. I wonder what new person she will become?
