I lost it a little bit at work yesterday. It was nothing bad, I didn’t say or do anything inappropriate or untoward; in fact what I did was perhaps quite apt, the expression of upset over the consequence of warnings unheeded and best practices neglected. Still, I prefer to keep my cool and maintain my steady balance in the face of both fortune and ruin. And I’m getting better at this for sure. And maybe I’ll get there just in time to hang up my professional hat and say goodbye to work, and then practice my patience amidst the flowers in our garden and long river walks with my book. Good venues for practiced patience. Good environments for realized resolve.
