The Good Life - 11/19/2022 - With or without coffee

We’re out of coffee, but that’s alright. I’ll make a pot of tea which I won’t even sip. That’s ’cause I slept well last night (for a change). No dreams it seems. Just nothing from the moment my head hit the pillow until it was time to wake up. Work is going well lately, and there’s less stress and worry, with consequence immediate and deep: better sleep, more peace, plus energy for the day and doing what’s fun and important beyond bending my back to the paycheck plowshare. Retirement is on my mind a lot lately. I’ve even marked the day on my calendar. I used to worry that I wouldn’t know what to do with myself without work. But I’m less concerned about that now. As it seems there’s lots to do with a life mission, a sense of purpose, and a good night of sleep—with or without coffee.
