The Good Life - 08/17/2023 - Off my game
Not on my A-game this morning. This happens sometimes, though it’s different now that I’m old. When I was young being off my game was more mental than physical—which was scary. Now, it’s reversed, and my mind is fine while my body is off. It’s like having a bad tank of fuel—water in the gas—things ain’t combusting right and I’m sputtering along. Tomorrow should be better. But I know this is just the beginning. The decline has begun. It’s inevitable and inexorable. All the more reason to get up before the sun each day and work and live well while I still can. Gotta take in the harvest while I’m still able.
