Last Supper Before Siberia – softypapa live

2 min read

This unscheduled YouTube Live video was made on my way out to desert, during my final stop in civilization before the last leg of my motorcycle ride to the remote ghost town of Siberia. I was already deeply chilled at this point, and my body was shaking when I entered the restaurant. I was better by the time I switched on the video, with a few cups of coffee and a hot meal in me and starting to do their thing. What resulted was a very interesting hour of dialogue with YouTube viewers on a variety of subjects; including my long absence from social media, the state of my family (and if I even had one any more), as well as my book, and plans for the channel. Throughout this video you can hear the cold desert wind rattling the awning outside the restaurant window—the same wind which drew vitality out of me every minute for the next 24 hours, sending me packing from the desert early, with every ounce of resolve and enthusiasm for adventure drained. I’ll be back…maybe as soon as two weeks from now…as I still have some questions for the desert, and it’s the perfect season for asking.

My name is Kurt Bell and I am delighted that you have taken some time to share a little of The Good Life with me. I’m available on social media at the links below and can be reached via email at softypapa@gmail.com

ABOUT

Going Alone was begun by Kurt Bell in an effort to help others understand and manage  the recognition of the apparent indifference of the universe to our well being, happiness or even our existence, and to find ways to make a good life in spite of this fact.
