Traditional story: A poor traveler convinces an old woman that he will make soup if he is given a pot of boiling water in which to put his stones. As the stone broth boils, the traveler asks for some salt, and then for some potatoes and carrots, that the woman gladly gives as she watches the miracle of the bountiful soup being made from stones.
