Since beginning my career as a writing troll beneath the Route 66 bridge at Siberia, I've been keeping record of my work by writing in chalk on the old wooden rafters. A drawback to this effort is the fact that the chalk requires periodic maintenance due to incessant desert winds and quite infrequent desert showers. I like to record on video the act of upkeep whenever I return. In this video (shot last Friday) it had been two weeks since I'd last been at the bridge, and in that time a flash flood and heavy rain had clearly coursed under the bridge washing away all of my old footprints as well as a good deal of chalk. The "BOOK" I keep on an impromptu bookshelf had also received a nice soaking.
