STOIC POETRY | No desert today...

Writer: Kurt BellKurt Bell

Updated: Sep 4, 2021

I failed to go to the desert today. Instead, I allowed my daily life to hold me close and keep me near. Perhaps though, this is not a bad thing, as the real value is to be found in the place that I call home...once I grow and mature enough to realize that fact, as noted in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson who once wrote, “the wise man stays at home.”

My name is Kurt Bell.

You can learn more about The Good Life in my book Going Alone.

ABOUT

Going Alone was begun by Kurt Bell in an effort to help others understand and manage  the recognition of the apparent indifference of the universe to our well being, happiness or even our existence, and to find ways to make a good life in spite of this fact.
